摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for accurately measuring initial velocity of catalytic reaction or adsorptive reaction to a prescribed gas when evaluating performance of a catalyst or absorbent. SOLUTION: 1. In this batch-type reaction characteristic evaluator for evaluating the gas reaction characteristics of the catalyst or absorbent by using it as a test specimen, a test specimen container switchable from a closed state to an open state is disposed in a housing of a reaction device. 2. A switching mechanism is provided for switching the specimen container from the closed state to the open state. 3. The switching mechanism for switching the specimen container from the closed state to the open state comprises a lid of the specimen container and its opening/closing mechanism. 4. A gas concentration measurement apparatus is disposed inside the housing. 5. A gas concentration measurement apparatus connected to the exterior via a gas circulation conduit from the housing is disposed outside the housing. 6.
