PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for reducing the load or the like of a water pump for circulating cooling water. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises a core composed of an inlet core 9 and an outlet core 11 in which heat exchange tubes 13 and fins 23 are alternately juxtaposed, an inlet tank 3 and an outlet tank 5 provided on one end side of the cores 9 and 11, and an intermediate tank 7 provided on the other end side of the cores 9 and 11. The inlet tank 3 comprises an inlet pipe 17, the intermediate tank 7 comprises a first outlet pipe 29, and the outlet tank 5 comprises a second outlet pipe 21. The first outlet pipe 29 of the intermediate tank 7 and the second outlet pipe 21 of the outlet tank 5 comprise a first passage selector valve device 33 and a second passage selector valve device 43 for opening and closing the opening parts 35 and 51 of the outlet pipes 21 and 29, respectively.
