<p>The invention relates to a device which is used to cover and uncover a surface (3) using a rollable cover element (2). The inventive device takes the form of a portal frame comprising movement means (14) which enable the device to move in translation above the surface along a given direction (F) which is essentially perpendicular to the width of said surface. In addition, the portal frame comprises: (i) a central shaft having at least one wheel (5) at each of the ends thereof, said wheels being separated from one another by a distance greater than the width of the surface; and (ii) a mandrel (7) which is used to roll-up and unroll the cover element (2) and which is rotated by drive means. The aforementioned central shaft is equipped with means for guiding the mandrel (7) in rotation. Moreover, the mandrel extends around the shaft and is mounted to said shaft such as to rotate freely in relation to same. Furthermore, the above-mentioned movement means (14) comprise a manual operating element (15) which is designed such that a force can be exerted on the portal frame in the direction of displacement.</p> |
