<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce sound in a virtual space in real time by increasing speed of acoustic calculation especially in the virtual space. <P>SOLUTION: This real-time sound reproduction system is roughly divided into three steps in process of reproducing indoor sound. These are three steps of information input processing for collecting various kinds of information such as the shape, environment, conditions and position of a room, conversion processing for performing acoustic modeling using an acoustic transfer function and output processing (audibility processing) for reproducing the sound as actual sound. In the conversion processing for performing the acoustic modeling, the sound is reproduced by calculating an impulse response 231 including loss such as sound absorption and attenuation in reflection to reflection paths 226, 227, 228 generated based on the shape of the room 210, using the impulse response as the transfer function 236 and converting inputted voice 238. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
