<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ID card making system permitting a applicant himself/herself to attach as a face photo a face image which the applicant likes by selecting the face image for an ID card such as a driver's license or the like by the applicant himself/herself. <P>SOLUTION: The ID card making system 1 comprises an image management device 3 equipped with an imaging means 16 for an operator to pick up the image of an applicant and a making device for making the ID card with a face photo based on the face image data formed by the image management device 3, and both devices are connected with each other. The image management device 3 is equipped with an imaging means 8 for an applicant to picking up the image of applicant's own face image and a monitor 9 for displaying the picked-up face image, and an auxiliary imaging device 2 for allowing the applicant to repeatedly pick up the face image by the applicant's operation is connected via a network.
