PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper overhang sliding door for lengthening the useful service life of airtight materials, accumulating little dust and refuse, and coping with a barrier-free type. SOLUTION: This sliding door has an upper frame 3, a lower frame 13, and a paper sliding screen 7. The paper sliding screen 7 has the airtight materials 35 and 36 for blocking clearance between the paper sliding screen 7 and the lower frame 13. The lower frame 13 has an upper surface of a substantially flat shape, and has cross-sectional substantially crest-shaped airtight material receiving parts 31 and 33 arranged linearly in the traveling direction of the paper sliding screen 7. The airtight material receiving parts 31 and 33 are the substantially same height as a floor surface 37 on the upper end, and the tip of the airtight materials 35 and 36 is allowed to abut on the airtight material receiving parts 31 and 33.
