PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical apparatus for reducing the quantity and volume of paint slag into inorganics only and at the same time for making it a particulate easy to handle. SOLUTION: The paint slag is supplied to a thermal decomposition device 2 with a feeder 1, moisture contained in the paint slag is dried by hot air in the thermal decomposition device 2, further organic compounds contained in the paint slag are thermal-decomposed and at the same time gas generated by the thermal decomposition is burned in a gas combustion chamber 5 for odorless and smokeless processings.
