PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus with an integrated monitor wherein brightness and chromaticity can be appropriately adjusted corresponding to a change in the brightness and the chromaticity which are ascribable to the monitor. SOLUTION: A monitor 32 of an electronic endoscope apparatus 10 is integrated in a processor 30 to be freely opened and closed and an initial image plane is displayed on a monitor screen 34 with the monitor 32 closed. The brightness value and the chromaticity value at a predetermined position on the initial image plane are detected by a brightness sensor 40 and a chromaticity sensor 42 on an opposite surface 46 of the monitor. The detected brightness value and the chromaticity value are respectively compared with the reference brightness value and the reference chromaticity value which are the proper values, and the brightness and the chromaticity on the image plane display are automatically corrected when necessary. A proper range of the brightness value is set beforehand and the detected brightness value is judged whether it is in the proper range or not so that an operator is informed of an abnormality or the like of the display which is ascribed to the monitor image plane 34.
