PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for judging a driver's steering skill capable of simply and surely judging the steering skill by judging the steering skill on the basis of prediction components in steering which are not easily influenced by noise components interfering with accurate judgment of driving skill. SOLUTION: The device for judging driver's steering skill comprises: a road linearity detection means 20 for detecting the road linearity on which a vehicle travels; a steering angle sensor 21 for detecting the steering angle; a prediction steering history extraction circuit 22 for excluding the history of correction steering from the history of steering angle signals and extracting only the history of prediction steering; a prediction steering characteristics extraction circuit 23 for extracting the characteristics of the prediction steering from the history of extracted prediction steering; a skill judgment rule storing device 25 for correlating the road linearity to prediction steering characteristics in accordance with the driver's steering skill level to be stored as a skill judgement rule; and a steering skill judgment circuit 24 for referring to the skill judgement rule stored in the skill judgement rule storing device 25 based on the road linearity and prediction steering characteristics to judge the driver's steering skill.
