The invention concerns an optical device (1) for forming a fingerprint image comprising a Dove prism (9) whereof the large surface (6) forms the surface for placement of a finger (4) to be subjected to a fingerprinting operation (3), a light source (L) arranged opposite a lateral surface (input side) of the Dove prism; and optical means (10) facing an opposite lateral surface (output side) to correct the image derived from the Dove prism; the correcting means (10) comprise means for correcting anamorphosis induced by the Dove prism and means for focusing the corrected image in a plane parallel to the large surface (6); said optical device can be produced in very compact format, in particular with very low height (h). |
