Genomic instability in T-antigen expressing cells can be overcome by modifyi ng the gene expressing T-antigen so that it lacks Bub1 binding. Stable cell lin es can be produced by incorporation of the modified T-antigen gene, preferably together with the catalytic sub-unit of the telomerase construct.
