<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of securing the safety of a slightly handicapped operator. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises an opening part 50 for feeding or discharging paper, paper feed means 21D and 31 or paper discharge means 25 formed at the opening part 50 and feeding or discharging paper, a shield cover 40 shielding the paper feed means 21D and 31 or paper discharge means 25, and a shield cover control means 49 opening/closing the shield cover 40. Also, the device comprises the opening part 50 for feeding or discharging paper, the paper feed means 21D and 31 or paper discharge means 25 formed at the opening part 50 and feeding or discharging paper, a foreign matter detection means 51 detecting foreign matter invaded into the opening 50, and an abnormal stop means 52 stopping an image forming processing when the foreign matter detection means 51 detects foreign matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
