<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a supporting mechanism capable of keeping the strength of the final joint part of a link mechanism with a simple constitution, without increasing the number of components, and also, capable of improving the assemblability. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing part 3d of the link mechanism arranged between the image forming part 1 and the image reading part 2 for a compound machine is formed of three faces in three directions, that is, a 1st fixed face 3a arranged parallel to the housing bottom face 3 of the image reading part, a 2nd fixed face 3b arranged in a direction vertical to the housing bottom face of the image reading part and parallel to a tangent direction to the turning track of the image reading part, and a 3rd fixed face 3c arranged in a direction vertical to the housing bottom face of the image reading part and parallel to a normal direction to the turning direction of the image reading part, and also, a pawl 3e which is elastically deformable in the same direction as the tangent direction to the turning track of the image reading part is arranged in a part of the housing constituting the image reading part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
