PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable printing by an N-up desired by a user without caring about the number of originals.

SOLUTION: This N-up designating device is a device for designating at least one N-up desired to be used for an image forming device 11 capable of a plurality of kinds of N (N≥1) ups. This device is provided with a display unit, an input reception part and a communication section. The display device displays a plurality of N-ups displayable by the device 11. The input reception part accepts for each N-up the input of the maximum number of originals indicating the maximum number of originals to be processed by the N-up for at least one N-up among the plurality of N-ups displayed on the display unit. The communication section transmits the data for the maximum number of originals to the device 11.
