<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a recording apparatus adapted to perform recording of various recording media wherein there is the possibility of skewing the recording media in the process of transporting, causing excess and shortage of initial setting of the recording media leading edge, and causing a paper jam in the midway of a transport passage because the same paper feeding operation is performed for the various recording media. <P>SOLUTION: In order to perform proper paper feeding operation, a parameter of paper feeding operation is set according to the type of a recording media. This recording apparatus includes: a paper feeding means having a roller for transporting the recording media and a motor for driving to rotate the roller, and adapted to feed the recording media placed on a recording media loading part and transport the same to the recording position of a recording means; a discriminating means for discriminating the type of the recording media placed on the recording media loading part; and a control means for controlling the rotation of the roller in transporting the recording media fed from the recording media loading part by the roller according to the type of the recording media discriminated by the discriminating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
