<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water spraying system for cooling exhaust gas capable of maintaining, in an emergency such as power failure, the amount of cooling water spraying from a water spraying nozzle per unit time at a level equal to or above a predetermined value within a gas cooling tower provided in a path of exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises a first water storage tank 5 to be used for a regular operation, a second water storage tank 14 to be used in an emergency such as power failure, a pump 7, a first air supply path 24 to be used in the regular operation, a second air supply path 25 to be used in an emergency, and a water spraying nozzle 1. In an emergency, the pump 7 is stopped, and the supply of cooling water from the first water storage tank 5 is stopped. At the same time, cooling water in the second water storage tank 14 and compressed air in a high-pressure air tank 21 are introduced into a two-phase flow ejector 20 via a second water supply path 17 and the second air supply path 25, respectively, and ejected from the water spraying nozzle 1 as the gas-liquid dual phase fluid with an increased flow rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
