<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for a dry distillation process and to save the supply volume of inactive gas by rapidly carrying on substitution of dry distillation gas with the inactive gas at finish of the dry distillation process. <P>SOLUTION: In the induction heating type dry distillation furnace in which an object for dry distillation 7 housed in an inactive gas atmosphere is put under the dry distillation process by induction heating, and dry distillation gas generated is exhausted to an exhaust gas treatment device 16, gas in the furnace is circulated by a fan 9 to carry out the dry distillation process, and the fan 9 is stopped at finish of the dry distillation process. By leading in room-temperature nitrogen gas from the bottom of the furnace with the fan 9 stopped, the dry distillation gas with light specific gravity pushed up to an upper part of the furnace and exhausted at once. Therefore, the inside of the furnace is easily substituted by the inactive gas, whereby the time up to taking out of the object for dry distillation 7 is shortened and the supply volume of the inactive gas is saved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
