<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielded electric wire braid processing device and a braid processing method that can surely remove cutting wastes after cutting the braid of a shielded electric wire and that can prevent the occurrence of failures including a cutting defect arising from cutting wastes remaining in the braid processing device. <P>SOLUTION: This shielded electric wire braid processing device 1 is provided with a die having a passing hole 2a for passing an end portion where the braid 6 of the shielded electric wire 5 is exposed and a cutting blade 2d provided at the edge of the passing hole 2a; a punch 3 that is driven movably in the direction of being inserted into or removed from the passing holes 2a of the die 2, that enters between the braid 6 and an internal covering 8 of the shielded electric wire 5 passed through the passing hole 2a, and that has another cutting blade 3a that cuts the braid 6 into a circular slice working with the cutting blade 2d of the die 2; and a removing mechanism 4 arranged so as to slide on the outside circumferential surface 3c of the punch 3 as the punch 3 moves. When the punch 3 moves in the direction of receding from the die 2, the removing mechanism 4 removes the cutting wastes 6a of the braid 6 in a chunk from the punch 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
