PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which good images can be formed by suppressing variations in image density between different devices. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image-processing circuit 23 for printing which functions as an image signal-generating means which performs image-processing of image data, makes the processed image data serial to form an image signal A and output it, and an AND circuit 26 which functions as a composing means to combine the image signal A with an image signal B delayed by the delay circuit circuit 25 which functions as a delay means of the image signal A, wherein the AND circuit 26 forms an image signal C in which the high-level period is shortened (low-level period is extended) compared with the original image signal A and outputs it to LSU27a. Thus, the duty ratio of the image signal input into LSU27a can be adjusted with a very simple configuration to adjust (increase) the amount of light emission from LSU27a.
