PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple sliding door device whose fixed sill has no irregularities, which can be easily cleaned, and which has excellent drainability. SOLUTION: A guide groove 22 is formed in the fixed sill 1D, and a sliding door 2 is provided with a rail plate 12 to be inserted into the guide groove 22. A lower part of the guide groove 22 is provided with a wide part 23 which is wider than the guide groove 22, and a bottom of the wide part 23 is provided with a drainage hole 25. Preferably, the guide groove 22 is made narrow so as not to cause intrusion of dust and be a hindrance to walking. Since water is not smoothly discharged by a capillary phenomenon when the guide groove 22 is made narrow, there is a risk of an overflow of the water in an inflow of a large quantity of water at a time. However, the provision of the wide part 23 in the lower part of the guide groove 22 makes the water, flowing into the guide groove 22, flow to the bottom of the wide part 23 without resistance, so as to be smoothly discharged from the drainage hole 25.
