PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging method capable of sharing the same packaging even for several kinds of optical components with different shapes and dimensions, in relation to the method for packaging the optical component which can safely and surely carry the optical component when the optical component is moved within a process or is shipped to a customer. SOLUTION: The method for packaging the optical component is characterized by that the optical component is placed on the first resin film, that the optical component is packaged by placing the second resin film so as to cover the optical component, and that at least either one surface of the resin films of the surface on the side where the optical component exists of the first and second resin films is weakly pressure-sensitive adhesive. In addition, the first and second resin films have roll-like or reel-like form. Furthermore, the first and second resin films for packaging the optical component comprise materials which can be easily cut, and being capable of packaging the optical components with different dimensions and shapes.
