PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting ornament which makes an ornamental portion to emit light more intensively than other points to make the portion conspicuous and to provide a light emitting ornament suitable for mounting on a car body. SOLUTION: The light emitting ornament has a light transmissible plate 2 formed with an ornamental pattern by cutting and a light source 3 installed in at least a portion of the end edge of the plate and at least a portion of the cut surface of the plate excluding the point facing the light source 3 is formed as a rough surface. The light emitted from the light source enters the plate from an end surface 5 of the plate facing the light source, thereby causing the point formed as the rough surface to emit the light more intensively than the other point.
