WATER-SOLUBLE COMPOSITION CONTAINING COENZYME Q10

An aqueous solution composition which comprises (A) 5 to 40 wt.% coenzyme Q10, (B) 5 to 30 wt.% monoester of a polyglycerol having an average degree of polymerization of 10 with a C18 fatty acid, (C) 1 to 18 wt.% mono-, di-, tri-, or pentaester of a polyglycerol having an average degree of polymerization of 3 to 6 with a C18 fatty acid, and (D) water and optionally contains (E) 10 to 80 wt.% solubilization aid, the coenzyme Q10 having an average particle diameter of 110 nm or smaller. The coenzyme Q10, which has been incorporated in a high concentration without using a solvent such as a fat, does not precipitate, sediment, or float even in long-term storage, and a homogeneous stable aqueous-solution (solubilized) state is maintained. The composition is excellent in acid resistance, salt resistance, and heat resistance, which are necessary for addition to medicines, foods and beverages, cosmetics, and feeds, and has greatly improved bioabsorbability.
