<p>The present invention relates to processes for preparing crystalline forms of orlistat, which is tetrahydrolipstatin. More particularly, it relates to processes for preparing crystalline forms of orlistat, referred to as 'Form I' and 'Form II'. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions that include the crystalline Forms I and II of orlistat and use of said compositions for the treatment or prevention of obesity and hyperlipaemia.</p>
