Floor comprises boards or similar floor elements (51) for fixing roller elements (11), ball elements (12), tie bar elements (13), PDUs (14) or similar functional elements, floor beams (16) or similar support elements for supporting the floor elements and for connecting to a body or fuselage (1) of an aircraft. The floor elements are connected to the floor beams as prefabricated floor modules (50) which are then inserted into the aircraft. An independent claim is also included for a process for assembling a floor for a cargo compartment of an aircraft. Preferred Features: The functional elements (11-14) are mounted on the base element of the floor module. Electrical and/or mechanical control devices for controlling the functional element are connected to the functional element.
