A stand-type sandbag is provided to firmly engage a hitting portion which is fluctuated by hitting with a stationary portion fixed to a ground and to pliably move the hitting portion. The sandbag includes a water container(100) having a plug(110) and formed with a damping tube engaging hole(120) at a center thereof, a damping tube(200) made of rubber and inserted into the hole, a height adjusting post(300) formed with an engaging boss(310) inserted into an engaging hole(210) of the damping tube, a damping bag engaging post(400) inserted into the height adjusting post, and a damping bag(500) made of cushioning material and covering the damping bag engaging post.
