<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder for printing which enables reading and writing of data of a data carrier mounted inside a printing cylinder, without inserting an antenna device of reader-writer equipment into the printing cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: In the cylinder (105) for printing which is provided with the data carrier (102) utilizing elecromagnetic waves, the data carrier (102) is mounted inside (104) the cylinder (105) for printing that meets 2λ/3.412<ϕD≤ϕa when the minimum value of the inside diameter of the opposite end openings (103a, 103b) of the cylinder (105) is made ϕD, the inside diameter of the cylinder (105) ϕa and the wavelength of a communication frequency of the data carrier (102) λ. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
