<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a seated person or a care giver to lock and unlock a chair with a single hand and a small force without stooping even in a narrow bathroom and to allow even an senior person and an invalid person to extremely easily perform the operation. <P>SOLUTION: This foldable chair for the shower is so formed that a locking bar 7 is laid between front legs and a fitting groove 8 is formed in the back face of a seat part 6 for fitting the locking bar 7 when the seat part is in the horizontal state; the front part of the rear surface of the seat part 6 is vertically turnably attached with a lever 9, the root end part 11 of the lever 9 is provided with a locking projection 10, the tip part 12 of the lever 9 is elastically energized in the downward turning direction, and the locking projection 10 in the root end part 11 of the lever 9 projects with the tip part 12 of the lever 9 turned downward so as to be press-fitted and locked with the locking bar 7 fitted in the fitting groove 8 of the seat part 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
