摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method and an exhaust gas treatment device controlling space density distribution of particulates in exhaust gas by using corona discharge with respect to the exhaust gas containing floating particulates, such as exhaust gas of a diesel engine, forming a region where the concentration of the particulates becomes relatively high and a region where the concentration of the particulates becomes relatively low, and dividing the exhaust gas particulates into the former and latter regions. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas treatment device 10 equipped with a high voltage electrode 12 and a low voltage electrode 11, exhaust gas G is made to flow between the high voltage electrode 12 and the low voltage electrode 11 opposing to each other, and floating particulates in the exhaust gas G is charged by applying high voltage between the opposing electrodes 11, 12 and generating corona discharge in the exhaust gas G. Space density distribution of the floating particulates in the exhaust gas G is controlled by static electricity between the opposing electrodes 11, 12, and the exhaust gas G is separated into high concentration exhaust gas Gb in the vicinity of the low voltage electrode 11 where the concentration of the particulates becomes relatively high and low concentration exhaust gas Ga in the vicinity of the high voltage electrode 12 where the concentration of the particulates becomes relatively low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
