INSTALLATION STRUCTURE OF INSULATOR FOR SUPPORTING DISCHARGE ELECTRODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the installation structure of an insulator for supporting a discharge electrode in which the fracture of a discharge wire at the discharge electrode is hard to be caused.

SOLUTION: The discharge electrode of an electric dust collector is suspended by the insulators 24 via a suspension rod 46 so as to be supported. On the surface of each ceiling face 20 of a casing in the electric dust collector, a mount 32 for placing the insulator 24 and a seat ring 34 are provided. Each insulator 24 is installed in such a manner that vibration proof rubber 38 is interposed between the insulator 24 and the seat ring 34. The vibration of each ceiling face 20 is damped by the vibration proof rubber 38, and does not propagate to the discharge electrode. The film of a fluororesin is preferably formed on the surface of each vibration proof rubber 38.
