<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic toll collection system using a noncontact IC card where a toll is collected correctly even when the type of a vehicle inputted by a toll collection stuff is different from that recorded in the noncontact IC card in the electronic toll collection system for collecting the toll of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic toll collection system using the noncontact IC card has a type information input means (S1) for inputting type information of the vehicle by the toll collection stuff, a card reading means (S2) for reading type information from the noncontact IC card, a comparing means (S4) for comparing the two kinds of type information with each other, a first collection means which subtracts (S5) the toll from the noncontact IC card to permit using of a facility in the case of coincidence as the result of this comparison; a second collection means (S8) which subtracts the toll based on the type information inputted from the type information input means in the case of noncoincidence (NG of S4), and a correction means which reads and confirms the noncontact IC card with another card reading means when there is an error. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
