PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dipole antenna which can considerably be miniaturized by approaching a pair of meander-shaped radiation elements with each other. SOLUTION: The dipole antenna 11 is provided with: a pair of the meander-shaped radiation elements 12, 13 similar to each other; and a short bar 14 for short-circuiting both the radiation elements 12, 13 in the vicinity of feeding points. One end of the short bar 14 is connected to a point in the vicinity of the feeding point 12a of the radiation element 12 and the other end is connected to a point in the vicinity of the feeding point 13a of the radiation element 13. The input impedance of the dipole antenna 11 as above is not undesirably increased because of the attachment of the short bar 14 even when an interval d of the meander parts of the radiation elements 12, 13 is selected narrower.
