PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input/output apparatus in which a size increase is suppressed by considering a mounting structure of a printer housing and a scanner housing. SOLUTION: The image input/output apparatus includes a printer for printing image data, the printer housing containing the printer, a scanner housing provided above the printer housing to support an original platen and rockable to the printer housing at a rotary shaft as a center, a carriage placing a scanning circuit and moving to reciprocate in a sub-scanning direction parallel to a surface of the original platen in the scanning housing, a driver for driving the carriage in the sub-scanning direction, a supply unit provided in the printer housing at one end side of the carriage in a main scanning direction to supply a printing medium to the printer, and a hollow substantially cylindrical protrusion provided at the outside of the main scanning direction and the rotary shaft side from the carriage of the scanner housing at the position adjacent to the supply unit to contain a part or the entire part of the driver.
