PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high critical current superconductive element comprising an oxide superconductor film that continues along a direction, where electricity flows into a superconductive film on a substrate, and allows an interface (a crystal grain boundary surface) vertical to the surface of the superconductive film to exist; and to provide a method for manufacturing the high critical current superconductive element. SOLUTION: The high critical current superconductive element is a thin film on the substrate of the oxide superconductor film, where the inside of the ab-surface of a single crystal is a direction in which the current flows. The high critical current superconductive element comprises a plurality of c-axis orientation regions composed of a single crystal film, where the thin film is vertically c-axis oriented to the surface of the substrate; and a plurality of c-axis inplane array region composed of a single crystal film, where the thin film is vertically c-axis oriented to the direction in which the current flows in the c-axis orientation region. The c-axis inplane array region is adjacent to the c-axis orientation region, and the interface of both the regions is extended along a direction in which the current flows. The direction in which the current flows is a b-axis direction of the single crystal film for forming the c-axis orientation region and the c-axis inplane array region in both the c-axis orientation region and the c-axis inplane array region, and is parallel.
