PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a width cutting method and device which have high versatility to change in size of an endless belt to be cut in an end face, and precisely cut the end face of the endless belt having a larger peripheral length. SOLUTION: When cutting the endless belt in a specified width dimension, an endless belt is built over a plurality of rolls including a drive roll, and a position of an edge of an end face of the endless belt traveling between the rolls is detected, and meandering of the traveling endless belt is modified.
