PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector in which superfluous interference of a wiping means with a nozzle is prevented so that a meniscus is not broken and a liquid can be ejected surely from the nozzle of a liquid ejection head even after the liquid adhering to the nozzle surface of the liquid ejection head is wiped off. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector 100 is arranged so that a wiping means 108 has a hardness of 40-60 degree and the angle between the nozzle surface 200a and the forward end part 108a of the wiping means 108 becomes 30°-70°when the liquid is wiped off by the wiping means 108.
