PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw decanter type centrifugal separator in which the turbulence of a retained liquid which occurs with the incorporation of an original liquid is suppressed and the separation performance is improved. SOLUTION: The screw decanter type centrifugal separator 10 is provided with an outside drum 11 rotating in a prescribed direction and an inside drum 12 inside the outside drum 11 and rotating in the same direction as that of the outside drum 11. An original liquid releasing part 22 for releasing the original liquid supplied to the inside of the inside drum 12 between the inside drum 12 and the outside drum 11 is provided in the inside drum 12. The original liquid releasing part 22 is formed to be projected outward in the diameter direction of the inside drum 12 from the outer circumferential surface of the inside drum 12 and includes a flow passage 40 communicating with the inside of the inside drum 12 and a releasing port 41 for releasing the original liquid and the releasing port 41 is arranged in the liquid retaining on the inner circumferential surface of the outside drum 11.
