PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke remote controller with which even if it is stolen, a karaoke playing machine without strings attached is prevented from being used successively after stolen in, and even the karaoke playing machine without strings attached can be used temporarily. SOLUTION: In the karaoke remote controller, a central control means has a measuring section. When the number of measurements of the measuring section becomes the prescribed set value, the central control means prohibits a prescribed control process including at least stopping of the transmitting function of a reservation music code. When a playing machine ID registration/recognition section recognizes the ID of a karaoke playing machine presently being handled is the one being registered, the number of measurements of the measuring section is initialized.
