DECORATIVE PAPER EXHIBITING BRIGHTNESS AND THERMOSETTING RESIN DECORATIVE SHEET

A decorative paper (10) exhibiting brightness, which comprises a paper base material (1) and, formed thereon as the uppermost layer, a bright ink layer (3) containing a bright pigment comprising flaky foil pieces of a bright substance, wherein the bright ink layer uses an ink comprising a urethane resin emulsion in combination with a water borne resin of a casein resin, an acrylic resin or the like; a decorative paper with a higher degree of design further comprising a decorative ink layer (2) using an ordinary ink between the above base material and ink layer; and a thermosetting resin decorative sheet (20) which is manufactured by impregnating the decorative paper (10) with a thermosetting resin such as a melamine resin, laminating the resulting paper with materials (6) to be attached thereto, such as a backing base material (4) and an overlaying paper (5), and subjecting the resulting laminate to the forming and the curing of the resin with heat and pressure. The above decorative paper and sheet allow the prevention of the irregularity of brightness (bright feeling) in a plane being conventionally caused during the impregnation with a resin and the forming with heat and pressure, without the need for an additional transparent ink layer on the surface of the decorative paper.
