<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric transducing material containing no environmental load substance and having the excellent stability of material characteristics and the excellent reproducibility of thermoelectric characteristics at a high temperature, and to provide a manufacturing method for the thermoelectric transducing material. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoelectric transducing material has a YbFe<SB>2</SB>0<SB>4</SB>analogous type layer structure, is composed of the polycrystalline body of a composite oxide shown by general formula: ABO<SB>y</SB>(CO)<SB>m</SB>and is obtained by a baking at a temperature from 1050°C to 1350°C under an atmosphere containing oxygen. Where 2<y<4, 2≤m<5, at least one kind of an element selected from a group IIIb element and Sc, Y and a lanthanoid element is used as an A-site element, at least one kind of the element selected from the group IIIb element and Fe and Cr is used as a B-site element and at least one kind of the element selected from Zn and the group IIa element, a bivalent 3d transition metal element, a 4d transition metal element and a 5d transition metal element is used as a C-site element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
