摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser diode power control device using a pulse for microadjustment to provide a write pulse type being suitable for an optical medium of high density, in an optical driver which can be driven at high speed for an optical medium. <P>SOLUTION: The laser diode power control device comprises a pulse generating part, a control part, and a transmitting part. The pulse generating part generates a write pulse for each channel. The control part decides whether the microadjustment pulse is to be applied to the write pulse for each channel depending on an optical medium type and drive speed of the optical driver for the optical medium or not, and controls the pulse generating part. A power level for each channel is transmitted by a write pulse outputted from the pulse generating part. Thereby, an optimized write pulse can be generated for high speed and high density optical medium, and the optical driver is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
