<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a composition which is based on an improved hydrothermal synthesis method and can yield the composition containing an ABO<SB>3</SB>compound which consists of uniform fine spherical particles having an average diameter of ≤1 μm, preferably 0.01 to 0.5 μm, and excellent crystallinity and in which the A/B ratio can be arbitrarily controlled and only few nanometer size pores are included in each crystal particle. <P>SOLUTION: The composition containing an perovskite type compound is manufactured by the method including: a first process for dehydrating a hydrated oxide of at least one kind of group B elements selected from Ti, Zr, Hf and Sn at a temperature of 80 to 300°C in the presence of an aqueous medium; and a second process for heating the reaction product obtained in the first process and a hydroxide of at least one group A element selected from Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg and Pb at a temperature of 100 to 300°C in the presence of an aqueous medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
