摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily process right and left tension fibers which are easily separated when optical fiber cords including tensile strength fiber are connected. SOLUTION: A fusion splicing part of fibers 3 of coated optical fibers 2 of right and left optical fiber cords 1A and 1B is covered with a fusion reinforcing sleeve 7, and further the sleeve 7 is covered with a reinforcing tube 11. A first heat shrinkable tube 13 covering the optical fiber cord 1A is slid to the right and one of the tensile strength fibers 5 is held along the outer periphery of the reinforcing tube 11. A second heat shrinkable tube 14 covering the other optical fiber cord 1B is likewise slid to the left and the other of the tension fibers 5 is held along the outer periphery of the reinforcing tube 11. The right and the left tensile strength fibers 5 are made contact with each other and fixed on the both sides of the heat shrinkable tubes 13 and 14.
