PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsible portable telephone by which a user can transmit and receive a call in a folded state and perform speech communication without deteriorating transmitting/receiving voice quality even in both folded and opened states. SOLUTION: This collapsible portable telephone A1 has an upper case 1, a lower case 2 and a hinge part 3 connecting the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 in a foldable manner, wherein the upper case 1 is provided with a display part 42 and a receiving part 41 for receiving voice, the lower case 2 is provided with a key operating part 51 and a transmitting part 52 for transmitting voice, the receiving part 41 is provided with a both sides speaking type receiver 411, and the upper case 1 has a through hole 13 at a position opposite to the transmitting part 52 in the state that the portable telephone is folded.
