PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with a broadcast receiving function for preventing a user from missing a ringtone during the reception of a terrestrial digital broadcasting or the like, and allowing the user to make a call without being disturbed by a broadcasting sound. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set with the broadcast receiving function for receiving the broadcast of the terrestrial digital broadcasting, etc., includes a first switch 16 for selectively outputting a broadcasting sound signal or a ringtone signal to a speaker 6; and a second switch 17 for outputting the broadcasting sound signal, the ringtone signal or a call voice signal to a head set jack 7. A control part 8 controls the first switch 16 or the second switch 17 in the cases of receiving and making a call during the reception of the broadcast, so that the ringtone signal or the call voice signal is outputted to the head set jacket 7 or the speaker 6 in place of the broadcast sound signal.
