PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which surely recognizes a terminated call even with either first or second frame laid down on a table, etc., using only one light emitting element, reduces the cost rise and the power consumption increase to the minimum, and prevents an excessive load from being exerted on a flexible printed cable. SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises a light emitting element 6 provided in an upper frame 2a, a first frame for emitting a light at the time of the termination, an upper indicator 7 provided in the upper frame 2a for radiating an incident light to the backside and the front side of the upper frame 2a upon the incidence of the light emitted from the light emitting element 6 on the indicator, and a lower indicator 8 provided in a lower frame 2b for radiating an incident light to the backside of the lower frame 2b upon the incidence of the light running to the front side of the upper frame 2a on the indicator 7 with the upper and lower frames 2a, 2b closed.
