PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable capacitor which exhibits the small rate of a capacitance change caused by high-frequency signals even when the rate of a capacitance change caused by a DC bias voltage is set large, shows a small intermodulation distortion, has an excellent electrical strength, is usable in a wide range of frequencies, is reduced in size, and is integrated. SOLUTION: The variable capacitor is equipped with a plurality of varactors which are connected in series and changed in capacitance with a voltage change, and bias lines which are connected to the varactors to supply a DC vias voltage to them. The bias line has a resistive component and/or an inductive component, the resistive component and inductive component are high enough to cut off high-frequency signals, and the partial voltage in the DC bias voltage applied to the bias line is set lower than another partial voltage of the DC bias voltage applied to the varactors.
