PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device small in the area of a sense amplifier circuit and small in circuit scale, and to provide an electronic apparatus provided with the memory device. SOLUTION: This memory device is provided with: first bit lines and second bit lines having one end and the other end; a first capacitor connected electronically between one end and the other end of the first bit line and holding the prescribed data; a second capacitor connected electronically between one end and the other end of the second bit line and holding the prescribed data; a first potential detecting part generating a first detecting signal indicating a potential of the first bit line; a second potential detecting part generating a second detecting signal indicating a potential of the second bit line; and a data discriminating part discriminating the prescribed data held in the first capacitor or the second capacitor by comparing a first detected signal or a second detected signal with a reference signal.
