PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact disk cartridge which can be attached to a recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a standard disk cartridge. SOLUTION: This cartridge is provided with: a cartridge main body 2 consisting of a lower shell formed with a first opening part 24 and an upper shell which abuts on the lower shell; a rotation wheel 4 which is stored rotatably in the cartridge main body 2, stores an optical disk 3 and is formed with a second opening part 44 facing the stored optical disk 3 to the outside; and a pair of shutter plates 5a, 5b which are positioned between the lower shell 7 and the rotation wheel 4 and open these opening part 22, 44 when the first opening part 24 and the second opening part 44 are coincident linking with rotation of the rotation wheel 4. In the rotation wheel 4, the front surface thereof being an insertion end to the recording and/or reproducing apparatus is formed with: an operated part 45 which engages with a shutter opening part of a recording and/or reproducing apparatus side; and an engaging groove 45c engaging with a peripheral part of the first opening part 24.
