PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal noise from occurring by a simple structure in a reciprocating drive unit in which a lid 2 is opened/closed against its own weight. SOLUTION: The reciprocating drive unit comprises a driving gear member 4 rotated and driven by a motor, a driven gear member 5 meshed with the driving gear member 4 and a bracket 3 supporting the driving gear member 4 and the driven gear member 5. The driving gear member 4 is a resin formed article provided with a shaft 41, a driven pulley 42 and a worm 43 coaxially. The driven gear member 5 comprises a worm wheel 51 meshed with the worm. The driving gear member 4 is supported at two positions of the shaft 41 by the bracket 3. The bracket 3 has a receiving wall 32 for receiving the driving gear member 4 driven in the axial direction by an action of the own weight of the lid 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
